Warehouse operator: onboarded in 4 days

Situation.

One of the two best warehouse operators in the company's history was leaving. There was no replacement, and the knowledge was leaving with him. The company held an ISO 9001 certificate, but it doesn't help a worker: it's a document for audits, not for training.

What we did.

We digitized the departing operator's work into a video job course: receiving, placement, picking, shipping, paperwork.

Result.

The replacement came from the job center with no warehouse experience: 25 years old, a former beekeeper. Four days for the course, two hours for the exam, and he was working the warehouse. His future supervisor couldn't believe a newcomer knew the processes that well. His hourly rate went from €12.50 to €18 within four months, raised twice. The company ships on time, without defects.
